Delilah or ‘Lah’ was a family friend of my grandmother and she had the most vibrant sitting room that I can remember. I’ve relied heavily on the paintings of Matisse in recreating the ambiance of Lah’s sitting room here. Framed in a golden frame (plaster) it would not seem remotely bright in Lah’ place.
